Acevivi Ceramic Hair Brush Straightener Review

I was becoming so frustrated when trying to straighten out my hair using a hairdryer and a paddle brush! I got to the point where I thought there had to be something else that would do the job faster and better but without damaging my hair. This became a mini-project for me (I do love a project!) and I tried plenty of different methods from rough drying my hair and using hair straighteners (damaged the ends badly I’m afraid) to blow drying my hair using curling brushes (took forever) and even using straightening serums (didn’t work!)

Then I was told by a good friend about the new generation of hair brush straighteners – Acevivi Ceramic Hair Brush Straightener so I flicked through the Amazon.co.uk reviews, took the plunge and bought it. It has completely transformed my hair straightening routine.

What I really love about the Acevivi ceramic hair brush straightener is it is gentle, so after drying with a hair dryer you are combing your hair without pulling and yanking it too hard. It also heats up very quickly without getting too hot so I don’t have to keep going over and over the same sections, surely this has to be kinder to my hair. Additionally I am able to control the heat with the digital pad so I keep it low because I don’t want to create any damage to my hair. I will say that you need to get used to styling using this type of handle and it feels a little uncomfortable to begin with but after using this three or four times, I don’t think about it at all, it’s become second nature to me.

If you’re interested then you might want to know a little more about my hair. It’s medium thickness, curly with plenty of frizz. When I read the reviews on Amazon.co.uk I was pleased to see this product came with a special “anti-static” technology which supposedly reduces the ions in the atmosphere and banishes frizz. Well – it really does what it promises and my hair is now always smooth, sleek and shiny – not a nasty frizzy piece in sight!

The reviews speak for themselves, it scores 3.8 out of 5 stars and that’s out of a total of 31 reviewers. It only takes three or four brushes per section before hair is straight and while I don’t have Afro-American texture hair, those that do have that type of hair rate it five stars.

Another good reviewee tip is to use Argan oil on the hairbrush to give hair even more shine and even in humid and damp weather the Acevivi ceramic hair brush straightener doesn’t disappoint.
My favourite review is from someone with long, waist length hair who (like me) used to spend over an hour straightening her hair – the Acevivi now takes her less than 10 minutes to straighten leaving plenty of time to do other things before leaving the house and I’m always time poor!

Of the negatives (and there are a few) a couple of people were delivered a defective brush which while inconvenient is not a problem as the company is always happy to replace a rare malfunctioning hairbrush. Another wasn’t keen on the handle well, my advice would be to keep going with it as you will get used to it in time. It’s like any new product; once you get to grips with it (literally) it becomes something you don’t think about.

Another thing I like about it is it’s a good looking product too, in soft and feminine pink it’s attractive to look at and there’s no chance of losing it in a box of hair styling products because the color makes it stand out from the crowd!
So, if you want sleek, shiny and smooth hair without a piece of frizz in sight the Acevivi ceramic brush will do what you want it to and fast. Take care to keep the heat setting on low to minimise damage and bear in mind the handle may take a little while to get used to but persevere because the results are genuinely well-worth it.
